Macedon Veterinary Care offers compassionate and high quality pet care. We are a fully equipped medical and surgical facility for small animals.
Preventative Health Care & Vaccinations:

Preventative health care for your pet should include an annual exam. Our doctors will thoroughly examine your pet and answer any questions or concerns you may have about your pet. We will focus on wellness and early detection of disease. Vaccinations will be tailored to the needs of individual pets.

ON CALL Emergency Service:

A veterinarian and a technician/assistant are on call after hours, for existing clients, from 7am until 9pm seven days a week . In case of emergency, call 315-986-4246, give your information to the answering service operator and a doctor will be paged immediately. After 9pm all calls are forwarded to the Animal Emergency Services of Rochester at 585-424-1277.

Extensive Surgery Capabilities:

We have the expertise and equipment to offer our clients comprehensive surgery services in both orthopedic and soft tissue areas.

Microchip Implanting and Reading
We provide microchip implantation as part of a pet recovery system.
Dental Care:

Does your dog or cat have bad breath? Bad breath is a good indicator that your pets may need dental care. Pets develop gingivitis and periodontal disease from tarter accumulation. Our veterinarians and technicians will monitor your pet’s dental health and suggest steps, such as regular cleanings, brushing, and dental treats to prevent dental disease. Pets with healthy mouths smell better, feel better, and live longer.

Ultrasound:

Ultrasound is a way of imaging internal organs noninvasive. Ultrasound does not replace x-ray examination, but compliments its information. Organs and tissues not normally visible on x-ray, such as internal structure of the liver, lymph nodes, and pancreas can be seen with ultrasound.

Laboratory Testing:

Using both in-house equipment and outside laboratories, we can provide diagnostic information for your pet’s health care. Animals can be tested for disorders such as kidney, liver and thyroid disease, as well as many more uncommon ailments, using bloodwork, fecals and urinalysis.

Radiography:

Our radiology facilities allow us to provide a wide range of radiology services including radiographs and more advanced contrast studies.
