Born and raised in Western New York, Dr. Garvey graduated from Victor High School and went on to receive her Bachelor's degree and DVM from Cornell University. She has worked with large and small animals in general practice and in a shelter setting. She recently became a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society. Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, integrative medicine, geriatrics and shelter medicine. Dr. Garvey is a regular volunteer for RAVS, an organization that provides surgery and wellness care in remote areas. This year she was proud to be a part of the Spayathon for Puerto Rico, working with a team that provided 600 spay and neuter surgeries in a neighborhood heavily impacted by Hurricane Maria. Outside of work, Christine enjoys hiking, Crossfit, and horseback riding. She can also be found relaxing with her cat Bridget, her greyhound Cami and her quarter horse Red.
