Dr. Austin grew up in a small town in Western NY. She earned her Master’s degree from The University of Rochester and her DVM from The Ohio State University. During over 21 years in practice,  Dr. Austin has worked in general practice, emergency medicine and, for over half of her career, in feline-only medicine. Dr. Austin is enthusiastic about all animals but has special interest and training in the unique medical and behavioral issues of cats. Other areas of interest for Dr. Austin include dentistry, ultrasound, and cardiology. When she’s not working, Dr. Austin is at home on her farm with her husband and their eleven lovely cats. She enjoys crocheting and knitting, baking, reading books and watching movies.
